Unlocking the 6th builder in Clash of Clans might seem like a difficult task, with all the upgrades and strategic planning it involves. You, however, should have no reason to worry as we’ve got you covered with a detailed guide. Here’s everything you need to do to roll out the red carpet for the 6th builder in your village!
1. Upgrade your Builder Base to Level 9
The first step to unlock the 6th builder starts by setting your sails towards the Builder Base. After you step foot on the island, you’ll essentially have two options. Either you can focus on upgrading all the existing structures on your base gradually before moving on to the Builder Hall. Or you can just simply rush the Builder Hall to Level 9 as quickly as possible.
Regardless of what approach you end up choosing, you’ll need to get the upgrade done as soon as possible. For this, make sure to use the Clock Tower Boost to speed up the time required for upgrades and lab research.
You should also not shy away from engaging in as many battles as you can. Despite the risks, battles can be a great source for Gold and Elixir that you can invest in upgrading your Builder Hall. However, make sure you’ve reached your daily loot cap before making any major upgrades. This strategy helps you protect your trophies while also securing your future loot.
2. Upgrade your Town Hall to Level 10
Back at the home base, you’ll need to make sure that your Town Hall is at least Level 10. If not, then it’s important to be mindful that upgrading the building to Level 10 is a costly endeavor. So, to make sure that you don’t completely empty your village’s coffers, it’s crucial to not try to rush this upgrade.
A successful defense at Town Hall 10 involves a well-designed base layout and strategic placement of defensive structures. Therefore, make sure that your defenses are aptly upgraded. Ideally, at this point, you should’ve upgraded your Cannon to Level 13, Mortars to Level 8, and Archer Towers to Level 13.

To upgrade the Cannon Cart to Level 18, you’ll need to pay a visit to the Star Laboratory. This is one of the most time-consuming challenges you’ll face when trying to unlock the 6th builder. 5. Upgrade the O.T.T.O Hut to Level 4
The next Gear Up requirement requires you to upgrade your O.T.T.O Hut to Level 4. This can be achieved by upgrading your Mega Tesla to Level 9. A defensive structure unlocked at Builder Hall Level 8; It uses lightning to zap all those who dare set sights on your village.
Upgrading the Mega Tesla to Level 9 is no easy feat, but it’s necessary to unlock the 6h builder. To speed up this task, we’d suggest the same strategy of being a lot more aggressive in battles to gain as much loot as possible.
6. Upgrade the O.T.T.O Hut to Level 5
